I'm always interested to hear from publishers, agents or authors about great books.

A Promise to Publishers, Writers and Readers
I aim to be fair, honest and entertaining in my reviews and posts. I am not paid to review books, although I do receive free or proof copies from publishers and authors. For transparency, I state if this is the case.
Publishers I've worked with over the years include:
- Orion Publishing Group - Incorporating Gollancz, the UK’s No1 science fiction and fantasy imprint.
- Pen and Sword - This established, specialist history and nostalgia publisher has published over 350 books every year.
- Penguin Random House - Encompassing publishing houses Ebury, Michael Joseph, PRH UK Audio, Vintage and more.
- Persephone Books - Bath-based Persephone Books reprints neglected fiction and non-fiction, mostly by women writers and mostly dating from the mid-twentieth century.
- Vertebrate Publishing (Adventure Books) - Peak District-inspired Vertebrate Publishing publishes books to inspire adventure, books that they would want to read or use themselves.
Sadly, I can't read everything I'm offered, but I will always try to be respectful and upfront with anyone who contacts me. I am not paid to write this blog. Consequently, I also work, and I don't always have time to post about everything I would like to.
Writing a book is a tough thing to do and I have a deep admiration for those who not only manage to finish a manuscript but also get it into print. Even if I am unable to help promote your work, I wish you all the best with your writing.
